Saffron Travel’s New Year’s Travel Resolutions

As 2019 was such an amazing year for us at Saffron Travel, we would like to say thank you for your amazing support and the trust you have placed in us.
Right now we are very looking forward to 2020 with plans and expectations for the new decade. We gathered last week to talk about our travel resolutions for the new year and thought it would be a nice idea to share with our travelers so here you go.

1. Plan eco-conscious trips – Long, our fantastic Managing Director

“Climate change has been more and more obvious. We are happy that our travelers are very aware of it. For us, we started with some baby steps such as providing refilled bottles or volunteering in some trash cleaning activities, because we do believe in “big things come in small actions.” Besides that, are recommending more and more eco-friendly accommodations and restaurants as well as working with more hotels to enhancing the concept.”

2. Travel and sport, why not? – Han, our versatile Deputy General Manager

“When I travel, I usually prefer leisure trips and have more me-time. But for 2020, I have decided to do it differently because I knew people doing activities they never thought they would do and turned out they loved them so much. So this year, I am planning 3 trips:1 to Hoi An combining with a 25km marathon there; 1 to the off-the-beaten tracks in the Central Highland of Vietnam; and 1 fishing trip in Mekong Delta. I guess it would be exhausted for me (for sure), but at the same time I am very looking forward to it.”

3. Make a photo book – Dai, our fun Marketing and Products Supervisor

“I took a lot of photos when I travel. There are 2 main reasons: I love photography and….I have to do reports. My job is to inspect and develop new travel products throughout the year. It’s always a great pleasure to share those experiences with the team members in the office using the photos I took. Last month, there was an accident with my phone and I lost a lot of “great memories.” This made me realize that for such a long time, I have always saved my photos digitally and I rarely look back for the purpose of only appreciating them. So this year, I will print photos after each of my trip and put them in my 2020 travel photo book. I am very excited about this.”

4. Book a local guide – Nguyen, our cheerful Senior Marketing Executive

“When I say I am working in Tourism industry, people usually ask me if I am on-the-way a lot. That is one of the assumptions about my job. Working in travel does not mean we are all tour guides. I spend most of my time in the office doing creative works such as designs, writing news, website contents,…I witness the changes in the way people plan their trips from offline to online and how the age of overwhelming information affects travelers. So even I could get travel tips and almost everything online, I would definitely book a tour guide when I travel simply because I value personal touches and stories from the locals which could never be googled.”
